We showcase handmade pasta and modern Italian dishes using seasonal British ingredients. We are obsessed with quality and consistency for our food and service in our Hove and London restaurants.

 

We are looking for a Head Chef to lead and inspire our award-winning Hove team and be part of our continued growth.

 

Working side by side with our founders David & Jamie, you will have a genuine love of cooking and hospitality. Working directly with Chef Patron Jamie, you will write our monthly menu changes, nurture and develop our team oversee an efficient, clean kitchen operation.

 

You will contribute to the team in a professional and positive way, in line with Cin Cin’s brand values and culture as created by our founders since 2016. We are a small team committed to supporting, developing and progressing our staff and the brand – you will play a central role in that.

 

About you:

  • You have proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant with a high standard of cooking.
  • You have a real passion for food, service and hospitality, and a love of cooking simply and seasonally.  You are confident bringing your ideas for dishes and menu changes through the year.
  • Experience with Italian food and cooking would be beneficial, but not essential. Most importantly we are looking for someone with a real passion for food, service and hospitality, and a love of cooking simply and seasonally.
  • You are extremely clean and well organised, motivated, friendly and approachable even under pressure. You want to lead and inspire our staff and be a long-term member of our team.

As Demi CDP you will be part of the team at our busy Hove restaurant and work side by side with our founders David & Jamie. You will learn our tight and regularly changing menu with seasonal small plates, fresh handmade pastas, Italian mains and desserts as well as house made bread, stocks, sauces etc so lots of variation and areas to make your mark on as Demi CDP.

You will be trained, mentored and developed as part of our team and contribute to the menu and running of the kitchen. You will be on track to step up to Chef De Partie as soon as you are ready.

  • be extremely clean and well organised, particularly in our open kitchens
  • be motivated, friendly and approachable even under pressure
  • be responsible for daily tasks like stock management and food ordering
  • want to grow with our business and be a long term member of our team.

Future Prospects

We want our apprentice to become a permanent part of the team and use their learning experience to progress through the ranks of our kitchens.  We have restaurants in Hove and London as well as a busy delivery service so lots of variety to keep you interested and engaged.  And your salary will increase on completion of your apprenticeship.

Training Provided

As well as the skills obtained through your apprenticeship, we will train you on food safety & hygiene, stock management, knife skills and you can also take part in the regular training received by the restaurant team from our food & drink suppliers.

Personal Qualities

Attention to detail, ability to work as part of our team, be creative, show initiative, be passionate and enthusiastic about food, be resilient to see the job through.

Skills Required

Good communication and organisation skills, willing to learn and commitment to see the apprenticeship through to get your first chef qualification.
